The Challenge
Windwinders in their design are based upon the fibonacci sequence of numbers, in initial visualisations these spires were manually drawn using traditional CAD techniques and while accurate this technique does not support the speed of iteration possible when utilising 3D games engine techniques.
The Solution
In collaboration with Sculptur Prof. Simeon Lockhart-Nelson we developed a Autodest Maya based tool to enable quick iteration, alongside a pipeline to Unreal Engine 4 which provided fast high quality renders visualisation in both a night and day lighting scenario.
